About Amy

Hello! My name is Amy Crabtree and I am licensed in Tennessee with 18 years of professional work experience. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I completed requirements for my LCSW in 2012. I worked for 12 years in community mental health as an outpatient therapist. I have seen a large variety of ages and clients with different diagnoses, including working with substance abuse treatment programs. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & depression. My treatment approach focuses on how our thoughts can impact our feelings and behaviors. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. Expect to be met in our sessions without judgment. Our sessions will be focused on goals YOU choose to set for yourself. I think it is important for a therapist to meet you where you are. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for reaching out!

What clients say

  • “I had concerns with trying to speak to a new therapist and hesitated for a very long time about setting up an account with BetterHelp. I finally bit the bullet and signed up, and I was subsequently paired with Amy. She has been very easy to talk to since the very first session, and she always seems to know what questions to ask or suggestions to offer. I do not dread our phone calls as I expected. I highly recommend her!”
