About Magaly Phakousonh
Hi, I’m Magaly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I have experience providing mental health services in both hospital and community-based settings, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and major life transitions.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from California State University, San Bernardino, and my clinical background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of emotional and behavioral concerns. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and focuses on helping clients feel safe, understood, and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies to help clients build practical coping tools, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen self-awareness.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel empowered to move at their own pace while working toward meaningful and sustainable change. I welcome individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to invest in their mental health.
