About Brittany Powell

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of West Virginia. I have a Master of Education with a focus on Mental Health Counseling. I have approximately 10 years of experience in helping people deal with anxiety, depression, and other mood related disorders. In addition, I have treated people with addiction problems, trauma and a history of abuse. I have assisted people in dealing with major life changes, and other types of stressors, as well as learning to live with the loss of a family member, friend, or pet. I decided to become a counselor so that I could help someone. I believe the foundation of counseling is to provide your client with a safe and caring environment. The treatment process should be a team effort including both the client and the therapist. I don’t have a magic wand, but by working together, we can improve your mental health.

“Felt very comfortable with Brittany after only one session.”

“I absolutely love having Brittany Powell as my therapist! She has always created a safe space for me to talk/text. She has helped me through so many different things throughout the time I have had her as my therapist. She does not judge, she is understanding and I won’t ever go back to traditional counseling”

“Brittany is wealthy in her knowledge and helpful with her words.”

“Brittany is a great therapist. I finally feel heard and listened too. I don't feel like I'm being ignored or that my therapist is just seeing me because they get paid for it. She listens and is really helping me process trauma and is helping me learn more about how my trauma has affected. Also learning more about how to regulate myself and deal with my cptsd. Highly recommend Brittany.”

“Using BetterHelp I wasn’t sure what to expect but Brittany made me feel really comfortable during our sessions. She is really knowledgeable in her work and I believe she is the best!!”

“Definitely an easy person to talk to who has helped me drastically”

“She's fantastic and has helped me gain control over issues I have been dealing with for a very long time. She's understanding and compassionate and helps see the bigger issue or why things happen the way they do. She's extremely easy to talk to and open up with. She's wonderful to talk with and I appreciate her so much”

“Brittany got what I needed. She helped a lot. I would definitely recommend her to anybody who needs a therapist and the price was more than fair.”

“A+ in my book!!!”
