About Michelle St. Raymond

LIFE IS CHANGE! I am a heart-centered licensed clinical social worker and Board Approaved Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-BACS) working in Louisiana. I come from the New Orleans/Covington area as a life long resident, Southern bred but with exposure to diversity having lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

My passion and my work is centered around trauma recovery, family of origin programming, relationship growth and change. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a modality I focus on in my practice I also specialize in natural healing modalities, mindfulness, in supporting families and individuals in transition, struggling with anxiety and self expression.

Transitions from the old to the new is stressful, especially when the new is not yet formed. Our bodies, minds and even emotions can get stuck as we are called forward through aging, job changes, health issues and family re-creations. Letting go to move forward can require new skills and new ways of thinking and most of all compassionate self-acceptance. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a powerful tool that can support new ways of thinking when the old no longer serves. Additionally, inner body awareness supports healthy mind/body connection. Nurturing body, mind and spirit is essential for successful transformation, especially in our current turbulent times.

As we collaborate and co-create a new direction for your life, your dreams and wishes will guide us. Your life centered in the here and now can lead to healthy goals and behaviors to carry you forward. No change takes place without action, and having a heart center guide can make it easier. I can be a guide, but you are the leader.

“excellent so far”

“Michelle has helped me a lot. I have seen many therapists in the past, and she is the first one that was able to get through to me, and the first one I was comfortable enough talking to.”

“Michelle is very conscientious about making sure that her clients are a fit for her. She listens thoroughly, she is not pushy, and she meets you right where you need her to be. I am very happy with her and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needed therapy. She will make sure that she is the right therapist for you before wasting her or your time. She doesn’t not take on more than she can handle because she wants to make sure she is 100% for each person she helps.”

“Michelle has been a wonderful therapist. She really has been a life changer for me. I have made such good progress with her assistance. I would recommend anyone in my circle of people to her. She is very thoughtful, a great listener, provides feedback tailored to your needs. She is also very punctual and professional. Great balance of letting you speak but also having time for her feedback as well. She is a wonderful therapist.”

“I love that Michelle allows me to guide my own path in therapy. She is there as a support instead of dictating a therapy program. She's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in session.”

“I am very happy with my therapist. I feel we have a good connection.”

“Michelle was so helpful! She helped me work through grief from losing a parent, anxiety, compulsiveness tendencies, anger, and so much more. She explains what's happening scientifically too which helps makes sense of things even more. She's given me the tools I need for a much healthier life.”
