About Martha Kuhn

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arkansas and Louisiana with over 15 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, Borderline Personality Disorder, severe mental illness, family struggles, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I am currently coauthoring a book that takes the more wholistic approach to the brain. With this, I’m working on a coaching certification.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

“Martha has been able to help me through an epilepsy, diagnosis and understanding what I can do to make things a bit easier on myself. She has accommodated appointments where it’s difficult for me to speak after a seizure and I greatly appreciate the support.”

“Martha is GREAT! She listens well and offers practical advice to help each other problem solve and learn to see a different perspective other than your own. She is serious when necessary but also light hearted- providing laughs in the midst of some heavier topics. 5 stars!”

“I truly appreciate my therapist. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and personable. From the very first session, she made me feel seen, heard, and understood. She listens without judgment and creates a safe, calming space where I can be honest about my thoughts and feelings.”

“Martha listens and prods in all the right ways. She is very experienced and if it resonates, her wisdom can be profound. She listens but not in a placative way; she let me talk and she always says something shocking that allows me to truly understand what I’m experiencing or what I’m sad about that I hadn’t considered before. Highly recommend”
