About Lauren Kelly

I know asking for help is not always the easiest thing to do and I seek to honor the effort it takes to stretch, grow, change and open yourself up in order to reach out. I love working with families, couples and individuals alike. I am a well seasoned therapist with over 25 years of experience helping others with many and varied challenges in their lives. As a Family Therapist, I believe life is all about relationships and connection and this gives me a unique and valuable perspective most individual therapists may not have. I have experience helping people recover from trauma, deal with grief and loss and restore broken relationships. I specialize in helping clients work toward life balance, working from wherever they are to get them to wherever they want to be. I am authentic, non-judgmental, honest, hilarious (or at least I think I am), and look forward to helping you on your journey.

I will be available to work with you on Monday through Friday (I take Saturdays and Sundays off) via live chat, asynchronous texting, phone or video. I often live and travel in my small motorhome in the West and Southwest so my time zone may be a bit different than yours, which can be an advantage. I grew up in California (please don’t hold that against me as I left as soon as I could) and I have lived in WI, UT, AZ, GA and Alaska (at the Top of the World in Barrow).

I look forward to speaking with you.

“Lauren is the best- she’s been with me through so much over the last couple of years. Not sure honestly if I would be here without her insight and faith-based guidance.”

“Ms. Kelly has been amazing for me. She’s gentle when needed and firmer when needed. Very consistent and clear communication. I find myself asking WWLKS - What would Lauren Kelly say - when I am in a difficult situation. This has been exactly what I needed.”

“I appreciate her positive feedback.”

“So happy with Lauren Kelly! She has been very informative on ways to improve our marriage and how to have discussions/concerns without it turning into arguments/fights. I love the homework she has given to us. She is funny but also listens to our concerns. Would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking therapy!”

“Lauren does a great job with explaining ways to help and is always available when needed”

“Lauren is the most personable, easy to talk to, counselor I’ve ever met. 10/10”

“Lauren is amazing. Super empathetic and experienced; she knows how to deliver her messages with care but also knows how to tell it to you straight if need be.”

“She is very kind, upfront, and knowledgeable with a very beautiful heart. I'm Greatful for her”

“I really like Lauren and appreciate her therapy style. She lets me talk and vent exactly the way I need to. And then gets me thinking in a different way or see a different perspective. She gives good, thoughtful advice but is also honest with me. She will tell me if something is wrong or if a behavior could be better in a constructive way, and she offers simple solutions. I have benefited a lot from talking with her, and I’m not even someone that has mental health struggles. I just want to be able to talk through things and she has been perfect. I look forward to continuing.”
