Whether it is a single event or a lifetime of struggles, our thoughts and emotions become so overwhelming that ordinary tasks can be difficult to complete. The journey of emotional healing includes self-discovery, mind-body awareness, and learning to trust intuition while also building inner strength to embrace and accept who you are. It is learning to manage life’s adversities rather than allowing them to define you. I am trained in trauma-informed care as well as CBT and EMDR but, I use other evidence-based strategies to meet clients’ needs.
I believe it’s important to use our natural resources so I apply a holistic approach with Mindfulness-based practices to integrate the mind-body connection. In addition, I support military personnel and first responders through collaboration with group therapy programs that offer retreats.
