About Brittany Powell

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of West Virginia. I have a Master of Education with a focus on Mental Health Counseling. I have approximately 10 years of experience in helping people deal with anxiety, depression, and other mood related disorders. In addition, I have treated people with addiction problems, trauma and a history of abuse. I have assisted people in dealing with major life changes, and other types of stressors, as well as learning to live with the loss of a family member, friend, or pet. I decided to become a counselor so that I could help someone. I believe the foundation of counseling is to provide your client with a safe and caring environment. The treatment process should be a team effort including both the client and the therapist. I don’t have a magic wand, but by working together, we can improve your mental health.
