About Barry Parker

Hello, My name is Barry Parker. I am a Christian, husband, father, Therapist, and animal lover. I am licensed in Indiana with 27 years of professional work experience. I have seen it all, during my years, not much surprises me. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & coping with grief and loss. I have worked with children as young as 5, teenagers (who often are not that accepting to therapy) and to adults as old as 107. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. My role to refine, define and develop existing and new tools in your tool bag to take on life. You are taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life, which takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

I believe one of the key elements of therapeutic bond. Due to personal trauma, I am not a good fit for the LGBT+ community.

I do not take cases with active court involvement, Child abuse with DFC involvement.

I am a animal lover, have 3 dogs and 4 cats, not to mention chickens and rabbits. I am easy going and do not use a lot of Therapy Speak, I tend to talk with my clients as I would with anybody else. Using my skills to connect the dots of what’s going on in your life, to make sense of it, the best I can.

Hope to see you soon,
I’ll leave the light on.
Barry
