About Ashley Whitfield

Hello! I want to commend you for reaching out for support; you have taken a major step toward finding satisfaction in your life. My name is Ashley and I am pleased to join you on this journey of growth and wellness.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and Mississippi. I have 10 years of experience providing therapy services in many different settings including schools, clinics, and community agencies.
I am a wife and mother of three awesome children. From personal experience, I understand how complex trauma and systemic disadvantage can affect families, generation after generation. I am happy to finally be in a position to help heal others and promote wellness in communities. I have dedicated my life to helping others overcome obstacles to find peace, joy, wellness, and fulfillment in life.
My therapeutic approach is based in Adlerian/Individual Psychology, Behavioral Counseling, and Strategic Brief Counseling. What this means is that I will work with you to develop a healthy, holistic lifestyle by analyzing your current circumstances and developing more gratifying behavior patterns. I have worked with clients struggling through mood disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, attention deficit, and career/educational advancement.
I would love the opportunity to assist with breaking down the barriers that are in your way!

“Mrs. Ashley is kind, considerate, and caring. 10/10 in my book!”

“Ashley was wonderful in helping me through my transition. I lost my mother young and she guided me through the process and helped me uncover a good amount of conflicts and assisted me in tackling those issues. I feel so much better after her helping me versus when I came in. Ashley is throughly easy to speak with. She is such a great therapist and I would easily recommend her to anyone that would need a therapist.”

“I went through a lot of therapists to get to Ashley and it was definitely worth the wait! She is kind, compassionate and incredibly encouraging. She made me want to go to therapy. If you are wondering whether or not to choose her, here is your sign, go for it!”

“I feel right at home talking to Ashley. She is very kind, genuine, and supportive. We've only had a few sessions, but I've appreciated being able to have someone like her to talk to. Her help has done a great deal for me to have perspective thru some tough moments that I'm dealing with. Thank you, Ashley!”

“I couldn’t be more grateful for meeting Ashley if I tried. Her words of advice and reassurance regarding my personal traumas and current situation have been enormously appreciated. It’s only been a short while since our first chat but I genuinely feel like I have progressed a lot on my journey of healing and self acknowledgment. She has also provided me with very useful information specific to my issues that I am able to continuously refer to should I hit a bump in the road. I have been able to refer a few friends of my onto this platform purely of the back of my own experience and growth. One of which has also started his own healing process. She’s kind, very attentive and listens very well. I honestly wish I had started this sooner but I am very glad that Ashley is there for me at a time where I’ve honestly needed it the most in my life.”

“She’s simply amazing , good listener & when you think your alone she reassure you that she’s right there every step of the way .”

“A great listener who has real life experience and an approach that helps you grow”

“Ashley is patient kind down to earth and you can tell she genuinely cares about what you are going through no matter how big or small my issues seem to me, she makes me feel heard, and like everything’s going to be ok”

“Ashley Whitfield is a class act. Knowledgeable and insightful. She allows me to see things from a perspective of truth and accountability.”

“Ashley is very caring and kind. She's easy to talk to and we've been able to get through life in my really tough times”

“I got to work with Ashley during a confusing and stressful time, my anxiety was spiraling out and she helped me every step of the way. She helped me get a 3rd party neutral voice to help find solutions to many different types of stressful situations. She helped me build my confidence, and whenever anxious thoughts arise, I always think "What Would Ashley Say" and it helps me center and get a handle on the situation! I couldn't have gotten here without her help!”

“Ashley has really been a Godsend for me in a very dark time. I was going through extreme post-partum depression and anxiety. I felt completely alone and misunderstood by my partner and was considering ending my marriage. Everything seemed to be falling apart and I constantly doubted myself and my abilities as a mother. Ashley’s calm and patient guidance and counsel provided me with a different perspective. She helped me begin to reframe my negative thoughts into more neutral or positive thoughts. This helped tremendously with how I reacted to marital arguments with my spouse. She demonstrated the importance of being able to release my frustration in a healthy way using distress tolerance techniques combined with anger management techniques. These techniques allowed me time to calm myself down, know my triggers, and react more calmly and keep my composure when voicing my concerns with my spouse. Thank you Ashley working with me through this dark time. I will definitely recommend Ashley and will be requesting her if I require counselling in the future! Thank you!”

“Ashley is amazing at what she does and the guidance she provides. Very personable and welcoming.”
