About Dr. Angela Reeves

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan with over 20 years of experience working as a mental health and career counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, stress and anxiety, PTSD, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, motivation and confidence as well as career difficulties . I worked for 5 years as a therapist n a private mental health clinic (clients were children, teens and adults) and worked with students of all ages as a counselor at the local community college for over 20 years. I am also credentialed to provide supervision for LLPC’s to get their full licensure and enjoy working with these new counselors.

My counseling style is warm, interactive and supportive with a focus on client ability and possibility. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion. I don’t believe in “labels” that stigmatize. My approach is a combination of Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe in being client-centered and supporting clients where they are at. It is important for me to include the client in the treatment planning process and help in monitoring success.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
