About Holly Abbott

Hi there and welcome to the first step in making a positive change. My name is Holly Abbott and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Alabama and Georgia. I am also nationally certified as a therapist. I have 12 plus years of working with people from all backgrounds. In the past, I have worked in the school system, private practice and with local agencies to help youth and adolescents, individuals and families. I have experience in working with a wide range of concerns and mental health issues, but a few examples are trauma/abuse, ADHD, anxiety/depression, Autism, relationship issues, grief/loss, parenting concerns and life changes.

I love people of all ages and backgrounds and feel that I have a calling to help anyone work through difficult times and situations. Showing compassion, acceptance and understanding are only a few of my qualities. I am easy to talk with and aim to create a safe and non-judging environment for you. My counseling approach ranges from cognitive-behavioral, solutions focused, trauma focused cognitive behavior and reality. However, I focus on the client and tailor what is necessary to help you accomplish your goals in therapy.

Welcome to the first step in making a positive change in your life. This is journey that I am committed to take with you as you seek to live a more happy, meaningful and fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you!

“Holly has been a godsend to me. After years of debating about therapy, and bad experiences years ago, I decided to give it a try again, and Holly has been wonderful. She has listened, helped me learn some very helpful ways to think and consider my circumstances, helped me talk through a number of my personal issues, and has really set me up for the mental and emotional stability that I was looking for. I could not recommend Holly any more highly than I do right now. She's a great person and a very effective therapist.”
