About Joanne (Jody) Girou

I am a licensed MSW in the state of Michigan and have worked in the social work field for over 20 years working with children and adults. I have worked with clients with a wide range of support needed in the areas of ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Parenting, Depression, Relationship Issues and Trauma.

My therapy style is supportive, non-judgmental and relaxed. Seeking counseling is not always an easy thing to do, so I want my clients to feel at ease during our sessions. My approach includes many different styles of intervention, but most importantly it is person centered and I focus on using client’s strength to help their healing.

I look forward to working with you!
