“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” – Arthur Ashe
Throughout our lives we are challenged by obstacles that can be difficult to manage on our own. Reaching out for help in those times can be incredibly difficult. Working with a therapist during those struggles in life can help find the insight into some of the most rewarding and positive changes we make; leading to a more fulfilling and peaceful life. The first step in making changes in your life begins now.
I have been working the mental health field for over 16 years with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, addiction & co-dependency issues, and relationship or family dynamics. I have provided services in outpatient, inpatient, residential, as well as rehabilitation long-term care settings to clients ranging in age from adolescent to geriatric, both in individual and group sessions.
My professional philosophy stems from the belief that every person deserves to live fully; with hope for the future and the self-respect to believe you are worthy of it. I believe every individual is capable of change and possesses the resiliency within ourselves to improve our lives. We will work together to identify the aspects of yourself that are not working for you and discover a healthier direction for your life.

“Amelia has been a tremendous resource. She assists with my various confidence struggles as well as my relationship challenges. I find myself hopeful and ready to work on myself after our sessions.”

“Very compassionate and knowledgeable. Great at listening, gives advice at the right times in conversation. I'll stick with her as long as she'll have me.”

“Amelia is kind and compassionate - even though I did the chat options, that still came through. Meeting and talking with her lowkey changed my life and I’m so glad. She had helpful ways to get me to change my thinking and lots of coping mechanisms to use. I’d meet her in person if I could. :)”

“Amazing conversation and insight into my mental condition. Gave good advice and coping mechanisms”

“Amelia is a wonderful counselor. She is patient, non-judgmental, kind, and always offers helpful suggestions and tools to help me navigate difficult situations. She is also very flexible in scheduling! Love having her as my counselor!”

“Amelia is great! I do the chat options, but I can tell she's kind and friendly and knows what she's talking about and how to help. I'd meet her in person if I could. She's been very helpful in the few months I've been working with her, and I can't wait to keep going. :)”

“I have been seeing Amelia on and off for about 2 years. Amelia is an incredible counselor. She is non-judgmental, supportive, and she stresses self-compassion which is something I struggle with a lot. I have recommended friends to Amelia. I always look forward to talking with her. She makes me feel safe, comfortable, and supported.”

“I looked at a lot of profiles and Amelia seemed to have exactly what I hoped to find. I’ve been very pleased with her insight. We both come to therapy with experience so we could hit the ground running. I really appreciate that.”

“Amy has been great to work with. I was hesitant about the virtual relationship with a counselor, but it’s worked so well with my crazy schedule.”
